What is Travel Guidance?
Travel Guidance is where you add general travel tips and information that applies across all your trips, not country-specific details.
Perfect for:
- General visa advice (e.g., "Contact your embassy for visa requirements")
- Packing recommendations
- Health and vaccination reminders
- Travel insurance requirements
- Currency and payment tips
- Arrival and departure guidance
- Cultural etiquette tips
- Emergency contact information

Tip: Keep your guidance general and broadly applicable. For country-specific information (like "Tanzania requires a yellow fever certificate"), add that directly to the country's profile instead.
Adding your Travel Guidance
1. In the Company Details tab, scroll to the "Travel Guidance" section
2. Type or paste your travel tips into the text field
3. To add translations, click "Translations" and enter your guidance in each language you use in the system
4. Click "Save"

Note: Your travel guidance will now appear on all new itineraries automatically.
Where Travel Guidance appears
Once saved, your travel guidance displays differently depending on the itinerary type:
Classic and Printable Itineraries
Your guidance appears at the top of the Information section.

Clients see your tips before diving into day-by-day details, ensuring they're prepared from the start.
Discovery Itineraries
Your guidance appears at the bottom of the itinerary.

After clients have explored their full journey, they can review your practical travel tips and reminders
Best practices
Keep it general
Focus on advice that applies to most or all of your trips. Save destination-specific information for country or activity pages.
Update seasonally
Review your guidance at least twice a year, health requirements, entry rules, and best practices can change.
Be concise
Clients appreciate helpful tips, but avoid overwhelming them. Aim for 3-5 short paragraphs covering the essentials.
Use clear headings
Break your guidance into sections (Documents, Health, Packing, etc.) so clients can scan quickly.
Link to resources
Where appropriate, mention where clients can find more information (e.g., "Check www.cdc.gov for vaccination recommendations").
