How can I edit or customise a supplier's description?

Add, edit, and translate supplier descriptions in your Account settings, and add custom room and activity descriptions for use in your itineraries.

Getting started

Step 1

From the navigation panel, select Account setup, then select Account.

If you do not have access to the Account function, ask the person in charge of your Wetu account to grant you permission.

Step 2

Select the Suppliers tab to view your list of preferred suppliers.

Step 3

Your supplier list is populated by suppliers added to itineraries in the Accommodation step of the Itinerary Builder.

Adding suppliers

Step 4

Type the supplier's name in the Search Products field at the top left.

Select the supplier from the drop-down list, then click on + Add Product button to add it to your list.

Note: Only suppliers loaded in Wetu can be added. If a supplier is not in Wetu, email the Content team and they will have it added.

Customising your description

Step 5

Select Description next to a supplier. A pop-up window will appear for you to edit the content.

Step 6

Edit the content in the pop-up window, then select Save.

Note: A custom description overrides the default Wetu content in your outputs. If a supplier updates their content, your custom description will not update. All customisations are visible to your Wetu account only.

 

Translating descriptions

Step 7

In the description pop-up, select the language tab you want to translate into.

Add your translated description in that tab, then select Save.

Note: If a language is not listed, check the Options tab in Account settings to enable additional languages.

If translations are not added and the itinerary language is changed, supplier descriptions will still display in English. Main headings and sub-headings will translate automatically when the language is changed.

Step 9

To set the language for an itinerary, go to Step 1: Itinerary Details in the Itinerary Builder.

Select your preferred language from the Languages drop-down.

Adding custom room descriptions

Step 10

In the description pop-up, use the Select Product drop-down to view and edit descriptions for existing room types.

To add a new room type, select Add Custom Room. The new room will appear in the drop-down list.

Adding custom activities

Step 11

Use the Select Product drop-down to view and edit descriptions for existing activities.

To add a new activity, select Add Custom Activity. The new activity will appear in the drop-down list.

Tip: For suppliers that do not have their own room or activity descriptions, adding custom options ensures clients receive detailed information about services and their stay.

Caution: Ensure you have permission from the content owner before adding descriptions to avoid copyright issues. Wetu is not responsible for any issues that occur.
