Before you start

Accessing location settings

1. Click "Profiles" to open your Profile Library
2. Navigate to the profile you need to edit
3. Click the three dots (⋮) next to the profile name
4. Select "Edit Profile"
5. Navigate to the "Location" section

Editing your address

Update your street address

If you need to change your address:

1. In the "Address" field, update your street address
2. The map pin will auto-adjust based on the address
3. Click "Save"

Add a nearby airport

Help travel agents plan transfers by adding the nearest airport or airstrip.

1. Click "Add Airport"
2. Type the airport name in the search field
3. Select the correct airport from the dropdown
4. Click "Save"

Adjust your driving point

If the map pin doesn't point to your exact entrance or reception:

1. Locate the driving point icon (car or marker)
2. Click and drag it to the correct location
3. Position it at your main entrance or parking area
4. Click "Save"

Adding directions (to your property)

Provide step-by-step directions from transport hubs to your property.

Add directions from an airport or station

1. Navigate to the "Directions (To)" section
2. Click "Add Directions"
3. Enter the start location (e.g., airport name, train station)
4. Select from the dropdown
5. Click "Save"

Edit auto-generated directions

Wetu creates directions automatically, but you can customize them:

1. Review the step-by-step directions
2. Click "Edit" on any step to modify
3. Click "Remove" to delete unnecessary steps
4. Add custom notes (e.g., "Turn left at the blue gate")
5. Click "Save"

View saved directions

All saved directions appear in the Directions (To) list.

Add directions to an airport or station

1. Navigate to the "Directions (From)" section
2. Click "Add Directions"
3. Enter the end location (e.g., airport name)
4. Select from the dropdown
5. Click "Save"

- Edit individual steps
- Remove unnecessary steps
- Add custom notes
- Save changes

Adding associated destinations

Link your profile to relevant destinations to improve discoverability.

What are associated destinations?

Destinations are major attractions, parks, cities, or regions that travel agents search for:
- Kruger National Park
- Cape Town
- Victoria Falls
- Serengeti
- Masai Mara

View existing destinations

The destinations you added during profile creation appear here.

Actions:
- Star Icon - reset preferred destination
- Eye icon - View destination details
- Bin icon - Remove destination association

Add new destinations

1. Click "Associate Destinations"
2. Type the destination name in the search bar
3. Select the correct destination from the dropdown
4. Click "Save"

Repeat to add multiple destinations.

Linked destinations

What this means: If your property is already associated with "Kruger National Park" in the system, that connection is automatic.

Best practices

Address accuracy
- Use your exact street address
- Verify the map pin is on your property
- Update if you move or change locations

Driving point precision
- Point to your main entrance or reception
- Don't leave it in the center of a large property
- Test the location with Google Maps to verify accuracy

Airport selection
- Choose the nearest airport clients will use
- For rural areas, include small airstrips
- Add multiple airports if you're equidistant from several

Directions clarity
- Edit auto-generated directions for local accuracy
- Add landmarks ("Pass the Shell station")
- Include gate codes or security instructions
- Mention road conditions if relevant (4x4 required, etc.)

Destination associations
- Add major nearby attractions
- Include the broader region (e.g., Mpumalanga + Kruger)
- Don't over-associate - keep it relevant (3-5 destinations)
- Think about what agents search for

Troubleshooting

The map pin is in the wrong place
- Update your street address
- Or manually drag the driving point to the correct location
- Verify using Google Maps coordinates if needed

I can't find my airport
- Try variations (airport name, IATA code, city name)
- Search for nearby larger airports
- Content request form http://wetu.com/contentrequest

Auto-generated directions are wrong
- Edit or remove incorrect steps
- Add custom directions manually
- Include local landmarks and references

My destination isn't in the search
- Try alternate spellings
- Search for the broader region
- Content request form http://wetu.com/contentrequest

Driving point won't save
- Ensure you click "Save" after dragging
- Try refreshing the page and dragging again
- Clear browser cache and retry
