# What are Day components and when should I use them?

## Day Components let you pre-build a set of activities, notes, and inclusions once, then insert them into any itinerary - saving time and ensuring consistent content across quotes.

### **Create a Day Component**

1\. From the Dashboard, navigate to **Trip Solutions** in the navigation panel.

2\. Select **Day Component**.

3\. Click **Create New** in the top right corner to start a new component, or click an existing component to edit it.

### **Add itinerary details**

1\. Enter a **Name** for the component.

2\. Select the **Language** the component should appear in.

3\. Click **Next Step** to continue.

### **Add activities in the Planner**

1\. Type an activity name in the search field and select it from the dropdown list.

2\. If the activity is not listed, type the name and select **+ SAVE AS FREE TEXT** to add it as free text.

3\. Optionally add **Day Tours** and **Meet & Greets** to the component.

4\. Add **Day Notes**,**Expert Tips**, and **Included/Excluded** details as needed.

**Tip:** To make the text fields larger while typing notes, click the green expand icon.

### **Save the component**

1\. Click **Save** to save and continue editing, or **Save & Exit** to save and return to the browser.
