# What are Day Rooms and how do I use them?

## Day Rooms allow you to schedule an early check-in or late check-out at a hotel without adding an extra night to the itinerary.

### **Add a Day Room**

**Note:** Day Rooms are added in the **Planner** step - not the Accommodation step.

1\. Navigate to **Trip Solutions**.

2\. Click **Itinerary Builder** to open the dropdown menu.

3\. Create a new itinerary or open an existing one.

4\. Navigate to the **Planner** step of the Itinerary Builder.

5\. Click **Add Day Room**.

6\. A pop-up screen will open. Complete the Day Room details.

7\. Click **Save Details** to save and add it to the itinerary.

### **Day Room fields**

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Day Room Accommodation** | Search for the hotel by typing the name - the system will display matching options to select from. |
| **Room Type** | Select from the hotel's loaded room types or enter a room type using free text. |
| **Room Configuration** | Specify the room configuration. This may differ from the overnight accommodation, so it is worth specifying clearly. |
| **Number of Rooms** | Use **+** and **−** to set the number of rooms booked for each room type. |
| **+ Add Row** | Adds another row for additional room types for larger bookings. |
| **Delete Row** | Removes the bottom row from the list. Alternatively, rows can be left blank. |
| **Reference** | A booking reference that will appear on the printable itinerary, summary, vouchers, and in the app (if applicable). |

| **Classic Itinerary** | In the day view |
| **Discovery Itinerary** | In the day view |
| **Printable Itinerary** | In the daily summary |
