Get the App Code
When you create a Personal Itinerary with travel dates, Wetu automatically generates a 6-digit App Code and an App Link.
1. Open the itinerary in the Itinerary Builder - the App Code is visible in the Additional Details step.
2. Click the dropdown arrow to reveal the App Link.
3. Send the App Code or App Link directly to your client - it is not included automatically in any other outputs.

Note: The App Code is not sent automatically. You must send it to the client directly to ensure that supplier details and contact information are only shared intentionally.
Download the app
TravelKey can be downloaded in three ways:
- App Link - The link automatically directs the traveller to the correct app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) and gives instant access to their itinerary without entering a code.
- Manual search - Search for "TravelKey" in Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- QR code - Scan the relevant QR code for the app store.

Note: Keep the app updated to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes. Update via the app stores or by scanning the QR code.
1. Open TravelKey - the app will display a login screen.
2. Enter the 6-digit App Code for the itinerary.
3. Tap Log in.

4. The itinerary will download and open on the Overview page. The first load may take a moment depending on signal strength.

Navigate the app
Home screen - Shows the introduction and Day Cards. Tap a Day Card to see daily activities, booking references, and contact details.

Day Cards - Swipe left and right to move between days, or use the day slider at the top to jump to any day. Days grouped by Day display live weather for fixed-location accommodations.

Location icon
Tapping the location icon opens a point on the map or auto-fills start and end locations for a route in your preferred map app (Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze). Custom Wetu directions can be viewed via Menu › Directions.
Note: Routes are determined by the selected map app, not pre-populated by Wetu. Custom directions loaded in Wetu can be viewed via Menu › Directions › select the relevant route.

The menu

Tap the Menu icon at the bottom right of the screen to access:
| Section | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Home | Introduction and Day Cards |
| Overview | The Overview page shown after logging in |
| Destinations | Destination cards for all accommodations and planner destinations |
| Accommodation | Cards listing all booked accommodation |
| Travel Information | Country cards with currency, climate, and transport information |

| Directions | Written self-drive directions, including custom Wetu routes and Google routes |
| Documents | All documents uploaded to the itinerary. Internet connection required - download documents before travel for offline access. |
| Contacts | Agent contact details, manually added contacts, and all service provider contacts with location pins. Use the search icon to find a contact quickly. |
| Share your Trip | Share the Digital Itinerary with friends and family via your phone's default sharing options. |

Offline functionality
TravelKey works offline after the itinerary has been downloaded on first login. Keep the following in mind:
- Any updates made to the itinerary after the initial download will not appear until the traveller reconnects and refreshes.
- Switching to a new itinerary (Change Itinerary) will remove the current one from offline access - keep the original App Code handy before switching.
- Documents must be downloaded while connected to data or Wi-Fi - they are not accessible offline unless previously downloaded.
Languages
TravelKey displays in the same language as the Digital Itinerary. To change the language:
1. Update the language in the Itinerary Builder.
2. Ask the traveller to refresh the itinerary in TravelKey.
3. The app framework will translate into the selected language.
Note: Custom text such as day notes and expert tips will not be translated automatically. These must be manually translated in the Itinerary Builder and the itinerary refreshed in TravelKey.
